Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha
Who are Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha?
I spoke to a friend who told me that one of her closest friends was raising money for the Kibbutz that she lives on. It's called Ein HaShlosha, and was one of the 22 Kibbutzim targeted by Hamas during the terror attacks over two weeks ago. I would tell you more, but I feel like I should use her words instead:
I haven't really started unpacking or sharing anything about the past weeks. In very, very short, this war is horrifying and all I want is for it to end with as little additional harm as possible. I haven't found the words yet to tell you more than that, but I want to tell you about my Kibbutz, in HaShlosha, and how you can help. HaShlosha has been mine and my Garin's home for a year and a half. The community there took care of us and we have became family. On Saturday, terrorists invaded the Kibbutz, burned homes, destroyed whatever they could, and murdered people indiscriminately, including little children. My Garin has put together a fundraiser to help HaShlosha rebuild and replace some of what they have lost. Please consider giving. Any amount is incredible.
You can read more on the page that they've set up here.
Why did we choose them?
The most obvious donations in Israel would be to Magen David Adom or Zaka. Both are well-established Israeli charities and provide emergency medical care, search & rescue services, and much more. Their work have been vitally important to saving lives after the attacks. However, giving directly to those affected is something we value at Tithe and there is a personal angle here where we can find out exactly how our money has been used in a few month’s time.
Amount Given
£159.85 was the initial donation made to the Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha. For any more information, feel free to reach out to us or you can read more about them here.
